Virgin Media cuts Technical Support Staff
The Register and others are reporting that since the implementation of a 25p per minute charge to call the Virgin Media Support teams there has been (a not unsuprising) decline in the number of people calling for Technical Support.

As such Virgn have asked IBM (who operates the Call Centres for Virgin) to slash jobs to drive down costs. Rumours are that upto 90 heads have gone in Liverpool and a further 60 in Swansea. The losses are a mixture of call centre agents, team leaders and middle managers.
